PHILIP TURNER

E-mail: Philip.Turner@adiConsult.com

Philip has worked in the field of international transport, freight forwarding and logistics for the last 25 years.

Based both in the UK and the Benelux, he has previously set up and managed courier and express companies. He worked in a senior management capacity for a leading Dutch air freight forwarder for six years, with responsibilities for overseas agency relationships and business development worldwide. In 1993, Philip was appointed as the first CEO for IASA - the International Air Shipping Association and the pioneer of the independent freight forwarder networks - where he both managed and developed the IASA global network of forwarding agents with a tenure of six years.

In 2000 he reverted to working for his own consulting company - TCI Communications, located at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.

In January 2006 TCI became the Benelux partner for adi Consult and renders consultancy services such as networking & matchmaking, executive search, mergers and acquisitions, and interim management to client companies engaged in transport, forwarding & logistics.

Philip is also a qualified journalist and copywriter and his other background activities include being a ship's officer on board of Cunard passenger liners (where his transport career probably kicked off!), IBM sales & management, financial services & investments, international real estate.

Philip was born in Yorkshire, England and grew up in Argentina. He speaks English, Spanish, and Dutch fluently with a good knowledge of French, having lived in France and Switzerland for three years from 1969 to 1972.
